About This Yarn

This yarn is a 3ply construction (1 ply of superwash merino and 2 plies of non-superwash merino). The superwash merino takes the dye more intensely than the non-superwash merino, resulting in a barber pole effect when dyed. The fabric once knitted is lovely and bouncy and would make a great sweater yarn, especially dyed with semi solids to emphasise the barber pole patterning.
